Well, Oskar's jaundice is beginning to fade from his belly. They say it may be a few weeks until it is all clear, but he is moving in the right direction! Plus, he is continuing to gain weight; slowly, but it is weight gain. He seems to be getting more and more eager at feedings and is beginning to get the hang of nursing. We will continue to supplement with a bottle for awhile to ensure that he continues to take in enough calories.
Thanks to all those who are praying for us and Oskar. We're doing very well, and I'm figuring out how to get a bit more rest than initially. As I dozed with Oskar a little while ago, I couldn't imagine what we'd be doing if my mom wasn't here. We are soooo grateful to her. Thanks Grandma Nystrom!

We've been home for going on 6 days now and things are only getting better. Initially Oskar had lost a little more weight than anyone likes, so we were a bit stressed out. Being a few weeks early and a little jaundice his favorite past time has been sleeping. Needless to say it was a bit hard to get him to nurse and put the weight back on. We ended up supplementing by pumping and feeding him with a bottle at first (after all sorts of tricks to wake/rouse him), just trying to get calories into him. It has been tiring and rather stressful, but as of yesterday Oskar is taking to nursing! He is also regaining his weight. Praise God. We go in tomorrow to check his weight gain once again and get his bilirubin level checked again.

Ultrasound pics from this morning. Kissy lips, hair, and CHUBBY cheeks. He is so cute! They estimate his weight at 6 lbs 12 oz (+/- 1 lb) at this point. My midwife thinks it will still be awhile until he arrives because I'm not having any Braxton Hicks contractions... so we'll continue to be patient.
