An experiment with a new video camera, a computer, and one really cute kid.

Grandma, we miss you already! Thanks for coming and hanging out with us for a month and helping SO MUCH around the house. It meant a lot! You're welcome back any time of course, and we hope to visit you at your place with grandpa too.

A day late...
Yesterday Oskar turned ONE MONTH old! This is not a new observation, but I'm continuing to be amazed at how quickly time flies.
He is spending more and more time awake and taking in the world. His little neck is getting quite strong and he loves to look all around while being held.

The Weigh In...
Well. We went to the doctor today because I was worried that Oskar had thrush. Thankfully he checked out just fine. It is just my imagination that is overactive, not any yeast in his mouth. Anyways. While there he was of course weighed. Since it wasn't his regular well child check-up they just weighed him in his diaper and one piece outfit; and our big guy weighed 10 lbs 5 oz! (2 weeks ago he weighed 8lb 2 oz in just a diaper.) If he keeps this up he'll be wearing 12 month clothes at 6 months! And to think I was so worried about his weight gain at the beginning. He has more than made up for a slow start!
In other news...
Grandma and Grandpa Swanson headed back to Minnesota today. Oskar can't wait to see them again, soon, and show them all the new things he is up to.

Grandma Margie arrived on Sunday evening. Here she is with the old grand dog Kooper- we didn't want him to feel too neglected. We have to get pics downloaded from the other camera for Oskar and Grandma Swanson pics. Keep checking back!

Grandpa Swanson arrives tonight and then Oskar will have met all of his grandparents before turning 1 month old. What a fortunate little guy! We only wish we all lived closer to one another and could see eachother more frequently...
